Jane Boddy and Pat Miller of Fairweather Cruises & Events have spent the majority of their careers in operations and sales for major hotels. Their path took a slightly different turn when they joined the yacht charter division of the Westin Bayshore where they successfully managed the charter operation for 15 years.

Their entrepreneurial spirit took flight in 2001 when they created Fairweather Cruises & Events. One year later they were awarded ''Entrepreneur of the Year for 2002" in the tourism category by the ''Be Your Own Boss" organization. With the emphasis on service they bring an enthusiastic, energetic and friendly approach to all fishing, dinner and luxury yacht charters. The knowledge and experience they offer make finding the right vessel and creating the event, effortless for their clients. Every detail of the event is looked after, transportation to and from the vessel, food, beverage, entertainment and decorations.

At Fairweather they are committed to their industry and local community. Using their time and resources they support the Carol Ships Parade of Lights Society, Vancouver AM, Bowen Island Chamber of Commerce, Burnaby Board of Trade and numerous local sport and cultural associations.
